Great Wolf Lodge

Finally the day & time came and it was time to hit the road! I needed this little getaway and bad!! We had just given Abbi away and this momma needed out of the house for some adult interaction & less sad time over her dog.
holy run on sentence. but its my little bloggy blog & I do what I want :)
Moving right along...
We get there, check in, meet up with the Swallie family and head to our room. We got a loft suite for all of us.

it was pretty neat! Lots of room for the boys to play, three different TV's for cartoons & a cozy fireplace.

Plus a fridge and microwave, two bathrooms and separate areas to sleep. We all claimed our beds and quickly changed to go swimming.

Owen could hardly contain himself. I swear he is part fish. I mean this kid would live in the water if he could.

We got in the water park area and found a spot, got the boys little life vest on & headed into the wave pool.

Jake wasn't too thrilled about his life jacket haha.

Owen & Grayson

We all had fun swimming for a couple of hours. The toddler slides were a hit!
We ordered pizza for dinner (which is a story in its self for another time) and got the boys ready for story time at 8:00.
Every night they have a story time and the kids gather around this big tree in the center of the lobby. It has robotic little people and animals that put on a show and then a worker will read a story.

The boys weren't too sure about it. It was a cute idea though. They even had someone come out dressed as one of the "mascots" of the place.

Oliver the Racoon

Owen liked  that part, but poor Grayson was scared. I don't blame the little guy!!
The best part of story time was the walk back to our room.
Are you ready for cuteness overload?!

My heart just melted. Little kids are seriously the cutest things. I love how innocent they are.

Soon after it was bed time for all of us!
What a rough night it was. Jake was up about every 2 hours & Owen woke up 3-4 times. I felt bad for them not knowing where they were at, but my goodness can't momma & daddy get a few hours of sleep! Needless to day we were beyond exhausted the next day.

We all woke up around 9:00 and packed everything up (checkout was at 11:00) to take to the car. Even though we had to be out of our room by 11:00 we could stay and swim till close that night. Score! So we went out to breakfast then came back to swim.
The second day was way better. We each took turns watching the munchkins and got to go down the adult slides. Man let me tell you, some of those slides really get your heart pumpin'!!

Around 4:00 the Swallie's headed out. They had a three hour car ride home. We said bye and watched them leave...Owen cried his little eye out. The four of us stayed for another 30 minutes or so then realized we were way too tired to swim any more.
We changed, hit the gift shop then headed back towards Columbus.

I can't wait till the boys are a few years older so we can take them back!!

We took the kids (the big ones too) a couple of years back and they loved it!

Great pics, and I'm glad you had a good time out.
